About Us

Persia House is a Booz Allen Center of Excellence on Iran and the Persian Gulf.  Its core staff includes experts with decades of experience dealing with Iranian issues, native fluency in Farsi, Dari, and Arabic, and deep knowledge of the political, economic, social, cultural, and philosophical dynamics at the heart of Iranian domestic, national security, and foreign policy deliberations and decisionmaking.

Persia House provides distinctive insights on Iranian perspectives, drawing on publicly available, open-source media in Farsi and Arabic. We combine rigorous, unbiased, objective analysis with first-hand knowledge and experience to provide insights of unusual clarity, accuracy, and precision regarding trends, patterns, and developments in Iranian perceptions of domestic, regional, and international issues.  Our research and analysis is done with scrupulous sensitivity to logic and fairness to ensure that what we say follows from the evidence, and that we are sympathetically representing the viewpoints of others while routinely guarding against bias or prejudice in our own thinking. We neither advocate nor prescribe positions or policies.

The Persia House team draws extensively on the global, world-class capabilities of  Booz Allen Hamilton, and collaborates with an extensive network of other experts on Iran to ensure that our analysis reflects the depth, breadth, and significance of any given issue.

The primary results of this are our summary translations and analyses of important news items from open-source Persian and Arabic electronic media.  These are made available—as ready—on Persia-House.com to our member/subscribers, and are also compiled in bi-weekly News Briefs that highlight a broad range of emerging trends and developments as well as underlying themes. The Persia House Quick Briefs are focused analytic reports that capture different perspectives on a given issue and provide insight into their meaning, relevance, and significance. In each case, the analytic component, including historical and cultural context, is captured in the “Persia House Note,” and serves as the basis for more detailed examination and assessment of an issue.

Persia House also offers its members more in-depth analyses of various topics and issues—as Persia House Analytic Reports, developed from our own Strategic Research Plan and published online.  Tailored research and analysis is also undertaken on behalf of a Persia House member/subscriber, resulting in reports that are reserved exclusively for the commissioning member/subscriber.
